1. Buy Yourself a Body-Care Present
Hit up a place like Lush or The Body Shop, and get yourself a little treat. Look up sales items online to save yourself some money.
- Use Your New Product in the Tub!
If you get a bath bomb, hair product, skin product, etc, give yourself a nice hot bath and soak in it for a while. Trust me, that pick-me-up feeling will last for days!
- Take a Break from Social Media
It can be very easy to log on and instantly start comparing yourself to other people and their lives. Taking a short break from Instagram or Facebook is a free way to relieve yourself of a little stress. Use the day to instead read that book you started, or talk with an old friend.
- Go Through Your Friends List and Unfriend, Unfollow
It can be cathartic to go through your ‘Friends’ or ‘Following’ list and make the decision to disconnect. Focus on toxic people, exes; anyone who you don’t really want to see on your feed anymore.
- Look Up a Healthy Recipe, and Try It Out
If you’re a total beginner at cooking, try something easier like a smoothie. For the more advanced individuals in the kitchen, try out a new recipe with an ingredient you’ve never tasted before!
- Take the Initiative and Go Out
You may have been stuck in lately, maybe for midterms or you’re just not feeling up to interacting with society. Stay home if you need to, but the weather is looking just fine out there today. Call up a friend or two and spend the day having fun. Go out to see a movie, or catch a delicious Valentine’s dinner with your friends.

On the other hand, maybe you’ve been way too busy lately and you know that you need a day to recuperate from all the stress from school and/or work. Make February 14 about you!
